We're expanding integrated behavioral health at our Ashland City clinic to serve a community with significant unmet mental health needs. Counselors work inside our primary care practice, so patients get mental health care under the same roof, with less stigma and better follow-through. You bring the clinical skill; we provide the space, the scheduling, the EHR and a steady stream of referrals.
What you'll do
- Provide individual, couples and family therapy across the lifespan
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments, write treatment plans and deliver evidence-based interventions
- See patients in person in Ashland City and by telehealth across our service area
- Take warm handoffs from our primary care providers and share treatment planning
- Provide brief interventions and crisis stabilization in the primary care setting
- Document in eClinicalWorks on time
- Coordinate referrals to community resources, psychiatry and higher levels of care
Required
- Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling or a closely related field
- Active, unrestricted Tennessee LCSW or LMFT
- At least 2 years of post-licensure outpatient psychotherapy experience
- Evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy)
- Comfortable providing both in-person and telehealth services
Preferred
- Integrated behavioral health or primary care experience
- eClinicalWorks experience
- Rural or underserved populations
- Substance use and co-occurring disorders
- Comfortable with adolescents through older adults

What does integrated behavioral health mean here?
You work inside a primary care clinic. Our providers hand patients off to you directly (a warm handoff), you share the chart, and you coordinate care with the primary care team — so referrals are steady and patients actually show up.
Do you accept associate-level or newly licensed clinicians?
Yes for our Masters Level Counselor roles, which are designed for associate licenses (LMFT-A, LPC-MHSP temp, LMSW) working under supervision. Our Licensed Clinical Counselor role requires an independent LCSW or LMFT.
Can I see patients by telehealth?
Yes. Most behavioral health roles combine in-person sessions at the clinic with telehealth to patients across our service area.
Is loan repayment available for behavioral health?
Yes, for fully licensed clinicians. Both clinics are approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) sites, and the NHSC Loan Repayment Program covers LCSWs, LMFTs, LPC-MHSPs and psychologists. Associate or temporary licenses become eligible once you're fully licensed.
How much loan repayment can a licensed therapist receive?
Under HRSA's 2026 terms, the NHSC Loan Repayment Program pays licensed behavioral health clinicians (LCSW, LMFT, LPC-MHSP, psychologists) up to $50,000 for a two-year full-time commitment or up to $30,000 for two years half-time, plus up to $5,000 for Spanish-language proficiency, with possible one-year continuation awards afterward. NHSC awards are tax-free. Nurse Corps covers nurses only, so it doesn't apply to therapists.
Does telehealth count toward my NHSC hours?
It can. HRSA counts telehealth when both you and the patient are located in a Health Professional Shortage Area. Most of our telehealth patients are in our clinics' rural service areas, and we'll help you document hours correctly.
Do part-time schedules qualify for NHSC?
Yes, if you work enough hours. NHSC counts half-time as 20–39 hours a week (at least 16 in patient care) and full-time as 40+ hours (at least 32 in patient care). One day a week doesn't qualify; about three clinic days a week can. We'll build a schedule that meets the program's rules and provide the site documentation you need.
